Energy Efficiency
Energy costs have recently doubled. A programmable thermostat will give you better energy efficiency. Did you know that properly using a programmable thermostat in your home is one of the easiest ways you can save energy and money? An ENERGY STAR qualified programmable thermostat can save you money by offering pre-programmed settings to regulate your home's temperature in both summer and winter — when you are asleep or away.

Energy Efficiency in the Heating Season:
- Close shutters and drapes during winter nights.
- Keep programmable thermostats at 68 degrees (F) or lower during the day when you are not home and at night when you are sleeping.
- Keep the damper closed when your fireplace is not being used.
- Have the vents in your home duct cleaned to ensure the free flow of warm air.
- Clean or replace the filter in your furnace at least once every 30 days during peak winter usage. A dirty furnace filter causes your furnace to work harder because of the reduced airflow to the blower motor. The reduced airflow also lowers the efficiency of the furnace by preventing the proper amount of air from passing across the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger in your furnace can eventually overheat which could lead to premature failure of the heat exchanger.
Maintenance Contracts:
We now offer yearly Maintenance Agreements. This agreement includes:
- Two annual inspections: Spring and Fall
- Preferred service over non-contract customers
- Preferred scheduling
- 10% discount on duct cleaning, replacement filters, parts and products sold
Manufacturers recommend having your HVAC system inspected and cleaned twice yearly.
